It’s the best breakfast you can make for $1. If you’re bootstrapping your company and need some cheap eats, definitely try making beans on toast. Hearty, especially when topped with an egg, this dish will fuel you with the required brainpower you’ll need, to get your business going. Beans are available on every breakfast menu in Australia & England, which mystified me during my visits, but I’ve finally figured it out. Definitely add some diced fresh tomato and sprinkle with Heinz A1, which I think tastes close to HP sauce, and probably now more so since Heinz acquired HP. Even when serving on artisanal sourdough bread, each plate costs only about a dollar. Try it, it’s delicious, you’ll thank me.—Michelle
